PUR RF-9999 Genuine PLUS Faucet Mount Replacement Filter, 3-Pack (RF99993)

Genuine PUR faucet filter 3-pack

This PUR faucet filter 3-pack contains three original PUR PLUS Mineral Core filters, part number RF-9999, in the original PUR box (RF99993). As a result, one box keeps your tap water filtered for about nine months.

Why replace each filter every 3 months

Each filter is rated for 100 gallons, which is about three months for a typical household. In addition, the PUR product data sheet lists the RF-9999 with WQA to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401, including lead reduction. When a filter reaches its limit, the indicator on most PUR systems turns red. After that, the water flow also slows down, so it is time for a new filter.

PUR faucet filter 3-pack specifications

• Capacity: 100 gallons per filter
• Replace every: 3 months per filter (3 filters = 9 months)

How to install a filter from the PUR faucet filter 3-pack

1. First, unscrew the cap of the filter housing on your PUR faucet system.
2. Next, take out the old filter.
3. Then insert a new filter, match the alignment marks and screw the cap back on.
4. Finally, run cold filtered water for five minutes before you drink it.

Tips for a longer filter life

Only run cold water through the filter, because hot water can damage it. Also, switch the faucet to unfiltered water when you wash dishes or fill a pot for cleaning. That way, the filter only treats the water you drink and cook with. Finally, write the install date on a sticky note so you know when the next change is due.

Questions

Is this a genuine PUR product? Yes. These are original PUR PLUS filters in the original PUR box, not compatible copies.

Does it fit a refrigerator? No, because it is made for PUR faucet mount systems only. For refrigerators, see our refrigerator water filters instead.

Why buy three filters at once? Because the PUR faucet filter 3-pack lowers the price per filter. Also, the next filter is already in the drawer when the indicator turns red.
