These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of discountfiltershop.com and any purchase made through it. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

1. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract under U.S. law to place an order. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.

2. Permitted use of the website

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the site to commit or facilitate fraud, abuse, or any illegal activity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or data
• Scrape, copy, or republish our content (product copy, images, descriptions, water-quality data) without written permission
• Place orders using false information or stolen payment credentials
• Resell our products in a manner that misrepresents their origin or certification

3. Orders, pricing & availability

• All orders must be paid in full before shipping
• Prices are listed in U.S. Dollars and may change without notice
• We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order (for example, if we suspect fraud, if a product is mispriced due to an obvious error, or if a product is out of stock)
• If we cancel an order after payment, you will receive a full refund within 5–7 business days

4. NSF certification & product compatibility

All filters we sell are certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, or 401 by an accredited third-party laboratory. Compatible (non-OEM) replacements meet the same NSF standards as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) filters they replace.

However, we are an independent retailer. OEM brand names mentioned on our site (Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana, Samsung, LG, GE, Frigidaire, Bosch, Kenmore, Sub-Zero, etc.) are used only for compatibility identification. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these manufacturers unless explicitly stated.

5. Returns, refunds & the wrong-fit guarantee

We offer a clear, customer-friendly return program:

• 365-day returns on unopened, unused filters in original packaging
• $1,000 wrong-fit guarantee — if we ship the wrong filter for your refrigerator, we issue a full refund and cover up to $1,000 in spoiled food (proof required)
• Damaged-on-arrival filters are replaced free with priority shipping

6. Shipping

We ship within the 50 United States, including APO/FPO addresses. Orders placed before 3:00 pm Mountain Time on a business day ship the same day. Free standard shipping on orders over $49. Full shipping details and timeframes are in our Payment & Shipping Policy.

7. Sales tax

We collect New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax on orders shipped within New Mexico, and applicable state sales tax in any state where we have an obligation to collect. Tax is shown at checkout before payment.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site (text, design, layout, logo, photographs, code, water-report widget) is owned by Discount Filter Shop or licensed to us, and is protected by U.S. copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use only.

9. Disclaimers

Our products and content are provided “as is” and “as available”. While we lab-test every filter and verify each product page, we do not warrant that the website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or 100% secure. We do not guarantee that filtered water will meet every individual health condition; if you have specific medical concerns, consult a licensed professional or your local water utility.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Discount Filter Shop’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to your purchase or use of our website is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim, except for the explicit $1,000 wrong-fit guarantee described in our Refund Policy. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Discount Filter Shop, its officers, employees, and suppliers from any claim or demand arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of our products.

12. Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your purchase will be resolved as follows:

• First, contact us at contact@discountfiltershop.com so we can attempt a good-faith resolution within 30 days
• If unresolved, the dispute will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Albuquerque, NM
• Class actions waived — you and we both waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action, except where such waiver is prohibited by law

13. Severability & updates

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance.
