How to install the GE GXRTDR in-line water filter

1. First, turn off the water supply to the refrigerator or icemaker.
2. Next, disconnect the tubing from both ends of the old filter.
3. Then connect the tubing to the new filter, with the flow arrow pointing toward the appliance.
4. Finally, turn the water back on, check both connections for leaks and discard the first batch of ice.

Tips for in-line filters

Mount the filter where you can reach it easily, because you will change it twice a year. Also, keep the tubing free of sharp bends, so the water flow stays strong. Finally, check both connections again the next day for any slow leak.
